23rd – 27th June 2008 Title: (Part 1 of Two)Diploma in Occupational Medicine Course (See August entry for Part 2 dates)

  Details: This course is designed to prepare doctors for the Diploma in Occupational Medicine examination, which is held by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine. The exam is open to doctors not wanting to specialise in occupational medicine but requiring some training and assessment of competence to practice as a generalist. It is suitable for gp’s undertaking occupational health sessions, appointed factory doctors, and doctors in other branches of medicine who would like to learn more about occupational medicine. The course will involve a 10 day period of teaching which will be divided into two 5 day modules, with seminars, discussions, project work, case-studies and factory visits and some distance learning.

September 2008 Title: MSc/PG Diploma in Occupational Health
  Event region: West Midlands

  Details: This course is available on a full and part-time basis and is recognised by both the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) and the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS). Recent course graduates are from the UK, Bahrain, Greece, Ghana, Lebanon, Nigeria, Oman and Kuwait.
